A recent study has shown that although most of us can probably cope with just 6 hours sleep occassionally, if you only sleep for 6 hours every night, then your reaction times will slow and you will generally be less effective at any tasks you do. The study found that 8 hours sleep is a good nights sleep for most people and after 8 hours of sleep, concentration levels and reaction times improve considerably.
