Absolutely not; and from the film, it looked more like 30 feet underground. A person cannot tunnel through solid earth like that, it's impossible. Even if they were able to break the coffin-lid, the ground would just collapse on top of them and they'd be buried alive.... again. Mythbusters tried this experiment. They determined that it is not possible to punch through a coffin lid. Even a trained martial artist would not be able to punch through it with the available oxygen in the container. And then, the escape from the dirt coming down on top of the person again makes it pretty much busted. Not only that, but the other side of the coffin-lid is "braced" by the Earth above it, which is both solid and flexible-- i.e. it would be like breaking a board that is laying on the bare ground. Breaking through wood in the manner shown, requires that it have nothing behind it.

Finally, unless it was a very roomy coffin, there wouldn't be enough room to draw back the punch, thereby limiting the power-- it would simply be too cramped to strike with any force.
