Yes. Quite near to the beginning, in any case.

How do you look at yourself in the vastness of the universe?

Awed firstly. A realization that egois meaningless. When I look at the Universe I see myself and no longer alone

How do you time travel into the end of the universe?

We cannot, as yet, build a spacecraft that could accelerate to the speed of 99.9999999999999+% of the speed of light. If we could, our shipboard clocks would run so slowly that in realtime, many billions of years would have passed. (Assuming that our concept of General Relativity works the way we think it ought to.) We do not know what the "end of the universe" might look like, or even if the universe has anything that might be called an "end". It's entirely possible that our fundamental theories of time, space and gravity are comically flawed, and that later generations will look back at us and think "How COULD they have been so stupid?"

What is the James Webb space telescope going to study?

It is going to replace the Hubble Space Telescope in the year 2018. It will study the edges of the universe, where the light from the creation of the Universe is still in transit to the Earth. So what JWST will do is to look at the past, billions of years ago, when the Universe was only a few hundred million years old. This would help us understand more about the evolution of the Universe.

How did the universe look a googol years ago?

There was no universe a googol years ago. The universe is only between 10-20 billion years old.

Why is space dark if stars are shining?

Outer space is mostly a vacuum (that is, no matter is present); inside this vacuum, extremely distant from one another, are galaxies, stars, planets, and so on. Stars do indeed emit powerfully bright light - the Sun is an example of this. However, as space is a vacuum, there is very little matter for this light to reflect off. Therefore, we can see the direct light from stars (the white lights in the night-sky), but the rest of space appears black. You might be asking about Olbers' Paradox, which basically says: if the universe is infinite, why is the sky dark, since in an infinite universe there should, eventually, be a star in any direction you look? The simple solution is that the universe is NOT infinite.

How is it possible for space to be never-ending but how is it possible for space to stop?

Well most physicists will tell you no. They theorise that the universe is ever expanding due to the big bang thus it having an end at some point. However there are many other less known theories that the Universe is of infinte space. The real answer is we dont know.

What invention made it possible to look billions of light years across the universe?

In terms of inventions, the telescope would have made it possible to do this.

Why the universe is black as the sun is present in the universe?

The Universe appears to be dark because space (meaning nothing), contains no matter for the sun to shine on. Also, another reason is that the universe is so large that, if you were to even try to look at the edge of the universe from outer space, the light would not exist beyond a certain point (because of the measurement of lightyears, and the never ending radius of the universe that is expanding). Thus, the universe is black.

When the entire mass of the universe existed in one place and time didn't exist because of the intense gravity did it cause the big bang to occur in slow motion is time speeding up as universe grows?

Firstly, One Question. Empty Space Had No Gravity at All in the Beginning. Space Itself without gravity Pulls Itslelf open, the same way a Quazar Opens Up. I Came to a conclusion that Black holes feed Are Connected to Quazars. Light Gets Sucked onto A Blackhole and gets compressed then It inverts and Makes A Quazar. In the Beginning You need to look at how Empty Space Exists in the Beginning, because the fact is, If Space compresses Into A Sphere and Then explodes, how long would it take for space to implode. The fact is, space was never empty. Lets say Space itself loses all That Now Exists inside it. What would happen, Would Space explode or Implode. Space is So infinate that it can Implode Infinatly. This leads to a conclusion that a Sphere was not created In The Emptyness Of Space, And The Big Bang Did not happen the way Now Theorised. Space had No Gravity as it has no gravity now. space Was an infinate void with nothing, not even gravity. So space itself exploded and tore appart from a Point anywhere. If Space is infinate, and it is infinate then you need to question if more than one universe can Be Born inside Space. Obviously there has to be a Core universe That Kicks Everything Off, But then Other Universes will Exist Where Light And Gravity Do Not Reach, This Can Happen Infinatly. Just remember this. Space itself Is Empty, The Universe is Not Empty space so that why this is a Universe. Beyond the Universe Is empty Space, and if you could travel beyond the universal edge where not even a telescope can see, The Universe would look like a Tiny White Dot, Go Beyond That Tiny White Dot, And That Light Will Invert on itself. Its just like the Idea of searching for Zero Point Energy, When a Ray of light reaches its Zero Point it Inverts into nothing, Thus its a Type of Black Hole and then it inverts again when it reaches the Zero Point of the Black Hole. After It reaches the Zero Point of The Black Hole, It Then Inverts Again and Gets Pushed Outwards. Thus Space Would Have Acted like a Quazar In The Beginning.

When was the Hubble telescope developed?

The Hubble Space Telescope is a space telescope that was carried into orbit. Hubble's discoveries have transformed the way scientists look at the universe. It was laucnched in 1990.

Where did the universe start?

The Universe didn't begin anywhere. As far as we know, the Universe is everything that exists and everything is contained inside it, so the Universe isn't "anywhere". However there is speculation that maybe the Universe is just one floating in a sea of many Universes. Current theories and models suggest that there is literally no place (not simply that we cannot get there) where you would reach the end or boundary of the universe. In a way, the 'edge' is itself multi-dimensional, and so any given location (including your tv room) could be considered in the 'edge'. While most theorists view current evidence as supporting a 'flat' contour to the universe (no odd bends that would make space itself resemble a torus, for example) who really knows? I think the bottom line is that it is virtually impossible that we will ever get to other universes in really fast space vessels, however fast we can get them to go. Any place we find in this manner will simply be another corner of the universe we occupy. If there are other universes, they are 'parallel' to ours. If the universe has an end then the universe started at the center. Nobody knows for sure, simply put. Where is the center of an infinitely large lake? There is none. The universe may be expanding, but that does not mean that it is not infinitely large. Also, since the universe expanded from a infinitely small point, any point in the current universe is the center, so you could be in the center of the Universe! From the perspective of any point of the universe, that point will look like the center, or beginning point, as everything you look at is moving away with the exception of objects close to you on the cosmic scale. If the big bang model holds true, then all matter, space and time, was once in an infinitely dense singularity. Then as space expanded, all matter moved away from other matter in almost equal proportions. So from the point of view of any one piece of matter it would look as if it was not moving and thus the center and point of origin. Also, it is not matter that is moving when talking about the expanding universe. Its is space time itself that is being stretched.

How did stars become in space?

Look up the big bang, its about how the universe was created- but the big bang is the same way stars got, and are still getting created.
