In terms of the immediate millions of years, yes the planet should be able to sustain life unless we damage the conditions.

However, in the long term (celestial terms) the earth is thought to be burned up by the sun as it expands from a main sequence star to a red giant before it collapses to a white giant. Should the earth survive this expansion of the sun, the earth will instead be a very cold place, not capable of sustaining life, because the output of the sun after it becomes a white dwarf (neutron star) will not be enough to keep the current temperatures on earth.
