Perhaps, it all depends on the individual. They are greatcareer choices for people who are naturally analytical and somewhat intellectually playful (note: clinical psyc. is less relevant to the latter), and who have a fascination with the brain and mind. Sometimes the work itself can require a lot of independent problem solving over long periods of time, so it also suits someone who is patient and who prefers delayed rather than instant gratification. This type of person generally wont really care too much about being rich either, because material things are not what motivates them. There are of course exceptions to this, but by and large it is the science that gets them out of bed everyday. It is a lifetime career; and it will take you all over the world. Speaking from experience, I would say it is a dream career.

They do make good money, but the downside is how dangerous an occupation it can be. I almost went into this career but went another industrial route and went into Industrial Technology instead.
