No. El Nino usually produces low hurricane activity in the Atlantic by increasing wind shear, which intereferes with a hurricane's ability to organise.
Each year the Atlantic Ocean has an average of 2 major hurricanes.
4 hurricanes. This has happened twice. There was one occasion when there were 5 tropical cyclones (tropical depression, tropical storm, or hurricane), but no more than 2 were hurricanes at any given time.
Over the last 15 years (1996-2010) 55 hurricanes have formed or have been active after the end of (September 22) in the Atlantic Ocean. This shows that Atlantic hurricanes are actually not uncommon in the autumn months.
The least active Atlantic Hurricane season from 2000-2009 was 2009. That season had 9 named tropical storms of which 3 became hurricanes. Here they are with the names of hurricanes marked in bold.Anna, Bill, Claudette, Danny, Erika, Fred, Grace, Henri, Ida.
The number of hurricanes varies from year to year, but on average, there have been about 14 named storms including hurricanes in the Atlantic Basin each year over the past 20 years. This would roughly equate to around 280 hurricanes in the last two decades.

La Nina decreases hurricanes in the Pacific and increases them in the Atlantic.

Meteorologists use the Greek alphabet to name Atlantic hurricanes after exhausting the list of traditional names for the season. This helps in identifying and tracking storms when there are a high number of named storms in a single season.
The Atlantic Ocean typically experiences the most storms, particularly during the hurricane season, which runs from June to November. It is known for producing a significant number of tropical storms and hurricanes, especially in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. The warm waters and atmospheric conditions in this region contribute to the frequency and intensity of these storms. However, the Pacific Ocean also sees a high number of storms, particularly in the western part near Asia, but the Atlantic remains more notorious for its hurricanes.
On average about 30 hurricanes hit the world in an average year
There has been no hurricanes in England but many in foreign countries!! There haven't been too many hurricanes this past year, and most of them disappeared

There were a number of hurricanes in 2012. In the Atlantic the hurricanes were Alex, Danielle, Earl, Igor, Julia, Karl, Lisa, Otto, Paula, Richard, Shary, and Tomas. In the Eastern Pacific the hurricanes were Celia, Darby, and Frank. This is not counting other tropical cyclones that reach strength equivalent to a hurricane.
