The full lunar cycle is roughly 4 weeks, and from full-moon to new-moon is half the cycle, so it would take (roughly) 2 weeks to go from full to new moon.
A spring tide occurs during the full moon phase of the moon. This is also known as the new moon phase and the moon is located between the earth and the sun.
Moon's phase cycle from New Moon through to Full Moon takes 29.53 days. More details are on the related link (Click 'Lunar phase' below)
After 21 days from a new moon, you would reach a full moon phase. The lunar cycle takes approximately 29.5 days to complete, so 21 days after a new moon would place you close to a full moon phase.
The phase of the Moon that occurs when it is three-quarters full just before the full Moon phase is the waxing gibbous phase. This phase occurs as the Moon is waxing, or growing larger, towards the full Moon.
One week from now, the moon will likely be in the first quarter phase, where half of the moon is illuminated. The new moon phase is followed by the waxing crescent phase and then the first quarter phase in the lunar cycle.
Full moon-It's bright and fully round. New moon-It's there but invisible.
A waxing Moon can be seen when the Moon is larger in the sky, and is moving from the new Moon phase, and into the full Moon phase. A waning Moon is seen when the Moon is visibly smaller in the sky, and is moving from the full Moon phase, and into the new Moon phase.

The waxing phase of the moon is the period of time between new moon and full moon, where the size of the illuminated portion of the moon is increasing. The "new moon" by definition is the moon phase where it is completely in the earth's shadow, and we cannot see it at all. New moon is the exact opposite of "full moon".
