A comet is hot glowing body that encirlces around the sun with a particular behaviour of facing its core towards the sun and the tail away from the sun. this case is not encountered in a moon or a meteoroid. a moon could be considered as a meteoroid but the difference between a meteoroid and a moon is that a moon has fixed orbit around a particular planet, while a meteoroid is a wanderer .

New holes are added all the time by rocks that would be called shooting stars or meteors on Earth, but we can't see them because they make really tiny holes, and we can't detect them reliably.

That's true, but some clarification is needed. Meteorites are the remnants of meteors after they have fallen. They "orbit the Sun" in the same sense you and I do: they're on the Earth, which is itself orbiting the Sun.

An object in space that could potentially become a meteor but hasn't yet is called a meteoroid. They orbit the Sun also, but independently of Earth.

Yes, the sun is considered the vocal point of the solar system and is most certainly a part of it, as everything rotates around it. Without the sun, the solar system would simply float off.

Probably not. In order to have a moon, the meteoroid would need to have sufficient gravity to hold on to another object, and most meteoroids aren't that big. If they were, we would call them "asteroids".
