Decaying trees are one major source of natural CO2 emission. Whether the tree is dead and rotting or burnt, it will produce the same amount of CO2.

The ocean, which is also the number one method of removing CO2 from our atmosphere, is also a supplier of CO2.

Byproducts of animals existence also contribute to the total greenhouse gas mix.

The sun is also a contributor, not only through solar variation, but through the interaction with oxygen to create ozone. Ozone is a very strong greenhouse gas. The cooling that we see in the Antarctic has been blamed on a thinner ozone layer, just to show you the intensity of this gas.

Not really. The Northwest Passage is mostly free of ice during the summer months, something that has not happened for a very long time. Global Climate Change is real and it's caused by the burning of fossil fuels by human beings. Volcanoes have not had this long term effect on the climate for thousands of years. Previously a big volcanic eruption could change the climate for one or two years, but, nothing like we are seeing now.

No. The world was going along comfortably warm for millions of years, thanks to the natural carbon cycle and water cycles which move carbon dioxide and water in and out of the atmosphere all the time. These greenhouse gases contribute to the normal greenhouse effect.

Then at the beginning of the Industrial age, about 250 years ago, humans started burning fossil fuel, coal, oil and natural gas. This released carbon dioxide that had been stored underground for millions of years. This extra CO2 has been too much for the carbon cycle to deal with and has produced the accelerated greenhouse effect, which is causing global warming.
