Yes! The umbilical cord is attached to the fetus internally, not externally. The abdominal wall then forms around the umbilicus. Though all fetuses have umbilical cords not all have belly buttons as newborns. When the umbilical cord is cut in a normally developed newborn, a belly button is created. The belly button is just the outward remnant of the umbilical cord in a normally developed newborn. However, if the abdominal wall fails to close around the umbilical cord, it is entirely possible to be born without a belly button. I was born with a hole in my abdomen and my external organs on the outside of my body. The surgeons put the organs back inside and stitched me up. I assure you, I have no belly button and never have!
Some people lose their bellybuttons later in life through surgery b/c of accidents or sickness.
well if you any thing like the kid next to me then you should know
I think that reproduction is important to organisms because this is the way to keep the population going. If there is not enough reproduction, the plant or animal may become endangered or even extinct. So basically reproduction is important to living things because without it, that organism wouldn't live.
Chlorophyll Kid was created in 1963.
A young animal is typically referred to as a "kid." Examples include a young goat (kid), a young deer (fawn), a young kangaroo (joey), or a young elephant (calf).
A kid can observe a chemical change by mixing vinegar and baking soda to create fizzing and bubbling from the release of carbon dioxide gas. A physical change can be demonstrated by melting crayons to create new shapes without altering their chemical composition.
