Basically we See that water creates shadow so we conclude that it is opaque but we can c through the water also so it is transparent also .We shadow of water coz when water runs it made up of bubbles and a bubble has a curved surface so when light strikes the curved surface refraction takes place so there is a formation of shadow
Yes, chrysoprase is a type of chalcedony containing nickel oxide which gives it its distinctive apple-green color. It is usually translucent to opaque, with some specimens exhibiting transparency when cut thinly. It is a popular gemstone for its unique color and is often used in jewelry.

Water floats and sinks in water because water in water results in the mixing and diffusion of the water in the other water. This may sound silly, but the question was one dealing with water in water. The mixture of water and water will, after a time, become one homogenous volume of liquid.
Yes, water cycle cleans the water. Rain water is purest form of water.

Glass bricks.
pearls are of transluscent in nature
it doesn't lighten the color necessarily, but it does make it more transluscent. to lighten the colors, you add white. please dont be tattooing if you dont know the simple logic in it.
when a wave is been reflected, the direction of the wave changes. The speed of a reflected wave depend on the material that caused the reflection, either it's an opaque, transluscent or transparent material. The speed of reflection is greater in the following ascending order. Transparent, transluscent and Opaque.
Transluscent means that only a litte light can pass through. It is not opaque and not transparent. It lies somewhere in the middle.
Quartz itself is transparent or transluscent. But trapped impurities such as iron, copper, etc give quartz a full rainbow of colors to choose from.
Examples of translucent materials include frosted glass, wax paper, and some types of plastics. These materials allow light to pass through, but diffuse it in a way that objects on the other side are not clearly visible.
I have had good luck holding the egg up to bright flashlight - if it is not fertile, the light will make the egg look transluscent. If it is fertile, the light will be blocked. Once you see it for yourself, you'll see that it's easy to do.
The three degrees of crystal diaphaneity are transparent (light passes through easily), translucent (light passes through but objects can't be seen clearly), and opaque (light does not pass through).
Yes, a translucent object can still cast a shadow because it allows some light to pass through it, while also blocking some light. The shadow may be less defined or lighter than that from an opaque object, depending on the transparency of the material.
There are a lot of examples .. 1. plastic bags 2. tracing paper 3. frosted glass 4. and so on Transluency occurs when some light pass through and some doesn't.. this creates a blurred vision in our eyes.. anything that is blur when u see through it is translucent
Elmers glue and water. Get the water boiling in a medium size pot. Remove from heat. Add 1 medium bottle of glue to the water and stir till totally disolved. Allow to cool. If too transluscent, gently warm the water and add more glue slowly till it satisfies your preference. This is how they film milk for TV and print, as natural milk appears slightly blue-ish on film. If making a baby bottle -- seal the ring cap with elmers glue after pouring the fake milk in, don't forget to seal the cap also. I use E 6000 glue. If you wish to see the milk travel to the nipple then buy a silicone blind nipple(no hole). Be sure to seal the cap.
