The Jurassic period was around 100 million years ago; not only was there no "New York" city on that piece of land, it's very likely that what we think of as the North American continent had drifted - as ALL of the continents have drifted. And we cannot be even vaguely sure of how much.

It's entirely possible that what we call "Long Island" did not exist in anything like its current form back then.

So the question is essentially meaningless.
