In these modern times, cell phones are an extremely common possession. Because of this, options for charging these tech tools are plentiful. Any superstore such as Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and Radio Shack are excellent options.
I have measured the usage of two cell phone chargers using a Kill-A-Watt meter. The first, a 2005ish Motorola flip style, uses 0 watts with no phone attached (or at least not enough to register one watt) and 1 watt with the phone charging. The second, a 2008 Samsung candystick style also uses 0 (or <1) watt without the phone and 3 watts with the phone. More tests would ensure these numbers hold true for other models and manufacturers. You sometimes hear that cell chargers are big users, especially if left plugged in without the phone (vampire or phantom power). Assuming my two phones are representative, they would use 12 watts or less per day, or about 4kWh per year if left plugged in without the phone.
No, a cell phone plugged into an outlet will not electrocute a person under normal circumstances. The cell phone charging process is designed to be safe and the voltage output is regulated to prevent electric shock. However, it is always important to use properly functioning chargers and outlets to ensure safety.
You can get your cell phone unlocked through the cell phone carrier you are subscribed to. For example, if you are with Wind Wireless, there is an option on the website to unlock your phone.
Microsoft does not have "a" cell phone number, it is a corporation.
It might need charging or he just forgot it.

A cell phone charging pad is a device that allows you to charge your cell phone wirelessly. All that you need to do is set your phone on top of the pad. The phone does not need to be plugged in for it to start charging. A cell phone charging pad is extremely convenient to use. All you have to do is set your phone on top of it before you go to sleep, and you will never have to worry about your phone going dead again. The ease and comfort of using a cell phone charging pad makes it a great investment.
