IT depends, You should read 120v on each element, but instead of reading from hot to ground on each element you need to check voltage across both elements and read 240v... so take your meter and put one lead on one hot and the other lead on the other hot of the element and you should read 240 if you dont your only getting one phase to your hotwater heater. What that means is your house has two different phases of 120v coming in, we call it A and B phase. on your panel you have breakers that are numbered on the left side 1,3,5,7.... and on the right 2,4,6,8... reason being breaker 1 and 2 are side by side left to right and are on the same phase and as you go down the panel it alternates phases 3,4 B phase. that why when you see a breaker that is a 2pole or a double breaker there ontop of one another like circuts 1,3 or 2,4 cause loads or appliances that require 240 volts it has to be 120v from both phases A,B to get 240v. Hope this helps!

The best element to use is a 3 phase electric heater that has a guard over the element protecting you from brushing against the hot part and stopping the element from starting a fire if the heater is pushed element down onto the floor
The main feature of an efficient electric heater is, that is used up to 30% less engery than a conventional electric heater. This reduces the cost of the heater.
The expansion and contraction of the heating element when the unit turns off and on. If you have ultra fine hearing and the thermostat is part of the baseboard heater it will be the bi-metal element in the thermostat.
Edenpure heaters produce 1500 watts. It is an electric heater, which uses quartz heating element to generate heat.
Black soot with electric baseboard heat could be a sign of dust or debris burning on the heating element. Ensure the baseboard heater is clean and free from any obstructions. If the issue persists, have a professional inspect the heater for any potential malfunctions.

Only the fan is working, there is no gas burning (gas heater) or the electric heating element is not working(electric heater)Answeris it electric gas or oil Its gas.
The heating element of an electric heater is a "resistor", the cord which conducts the electricity is not. The resistance of the element of an electric heater is very high. As current flows through the heating element, it becomes red hot and glows. On the other hand, the resistance of the cord is low. It does not become red hot when current flows through it.
To replace the heating element on an electric water heater, first, turn off the power to the heater at the circuit breaker. Then, drain the water from the tank and disconnect the wires from the old heating element. Remove the old element and install the new one in its place. Reconnect the wires and refill the tank with water. Finally, turn the power back on and test the heater to ensure it is working properly.
same way as any other block heater... ========================================================== Your Ford Ranger block heater is just like the heating element in an electric kettle . As long as the electric block heater is plugged in to an electric outlet that has power to it , the block heater keeps on heating the engine coolant if everything is working correctly
To replace an electric water heater element, follow these steps: Turn off the power to the water heater at the circuit breaker. Shut off the water supply to the heater. Drain the water heater tank. Remove the access panel and insulation. Disconnect the wires from the old element. Unscrew and remove the old element. Install the new element and reconnect the wires. Replace the insulation and access panel. Refill the tank with water. Turn the power back on and test the heater. Make sure to follow all safety precautions and consult the manufacturer's instructions for your specific water heater model.
If the water from the faucet is tepid or cold, it might be time to check the electric hot water heater element. Electric hot water heaters are equipped with two heater elements that heat water. They do so through an electrical current the goes through the element. The lower element does the hard work and is most likely to be the first that burns out. Turn off the electricity, and disconnect the wires at the heating element terminals. Set the multimeter to read resistance. Touch the clips on each terminal of the element. If the Ohmmeter doesn't budge, the element is shot.
The essential parts of an electric water heater for proper functioning are the heating element, thermostat, pressure relief valve, and the tank itself.
No, electric heaters work by running electric current through resistors which produces heat. same as an element on an oven range top.
An electric fan heater is an electric appliance that provides heat via a fan that blow air over a heated element. Components making up this device are a thermostat, heating element, selector switch and power cord.

In a gas water heater: The gas flame warms the water, exactly the same way as a gas stove burner does for a pan of water on the stove. In an electric water heater, an element - same as an electric range element, but a different shape - heats up from electrical current, and transfers that heat to the water.
