terraplanter
An inside-out hydroponic planter. Just add water inside & the plant grows on the outside. We wanted to design a piece that was aesthetically beautiful but it also needed to serve a function; it needed to be a good home for plants. For this we needed to produce a complex shape for the surface of the terraplanter to meet the needs of the plants.

A seed cleaner is a machine or device used to remove impurities, debris, and non-seed materials from harvested seeds. It typically employs various processes such as screening, air classification, and gravity separation to ensure that only high-quality seeds are retained for planting. This cleaning process enhances seed purity and viability, ultimately improving crop yield and quality. Seed cleaners are essential in agriculture to prepare seeds for sowing effectively.
Seed stratification and seed scarification are both pre-sowing treatments used to enhance seed germination by overcoming dormancy. Stratification involves exposing seeds to a period of cold or moist conditions to simulate winter, while scarification involves physically breaking, nicking, or softening the seed coat to allow water and oxygen to penetrate. Both methods aim to prepare the seed for germination by mimicking natural processes that seeds would experience in the wild. Ultimately, they help ensure successful germination under suitable conditions.
Legume is the name for the seed of the leguminous shrub Cajanus cajan, which also is called green, no-eye and pigeon pea.Specifically, such a seed is sheltered within a pod. The pod opens into two valves. The seed will be found on the valve edges.
No, buckwheat is not a seed. It is a fruit seed that is commonly used like a grain in cooking.
No, "saga seed" is not a seed. It refers to the dried seed pod of the tropical palm tree called "saga" and is commonly used in crafts and jewelry making.
The implement used for sowing seeds is called a seed drill. It is designed to plant seeds at the correct depth and spacing in the soil, ensuring better germination and crop establishment. Seed drills can be either manual or mechanical and are essential for efficient and uniform sowing in agriculture.
tiphan is used as seed drills like tiphan, pabhar and mogada are used for sowing.
Jethro Tull was educated as a lawyer but spent his life farming. He lived in the 17th -18'th centuries in Britain and invented a seed sowing device that modernized farming. The basics of this machine is still used.

Yes. Seed drills still have to be used to sow seed in the fields. Some folks prefer seed drills (like the packer drills) to air seeders because of the power that the packers have when sowing seeds, like grass seeds, which grow best when the soil is packed down moderately when sown.
You are describing an old method called sowing the seeds. It was used for large and small fields. This was used for grass like crops that didn't have to be in even rows.
Sowing
Seed drills are a machine that literally "drill" seed into the soil and covers it up at the same time to ensure that the seed has adequate cover and protection to germinate and grow into a seedling. Seed drills now are run by tractor, though they used to be pulled by draft horses or oxen.
for sowing
The device used to neatly deposit seeds in fields is called a seed drill. It allows for precise planting of seeds at the correct depth and spacing, ensuring optimal growth conditions. Seed drills can be pulled by tractors or used in manual farming, improving efficiency and reducing seed waste compared to traditional broadcasting methods.
