idk i need someone smart to answer me in this question i really need help because i need good grades and im not smart with science crap :( help i need someone smart really i do im int the 5th grade and im 10 i freaking want good grades gosh... i really hate science....
Some planets provide the solid surfaces on which lifeforms can exist. The total mass of the planets helps to counteract the gravity of the Sun and establish stable orbits for the smaller ones. The gravity of the major planets sweeps smaller bodies in their orbits, and lowers the frequency of collisions in the solar system.
Gravity, the mass of the planets, and how many and what life forms exist on each. Also the sun, and each planet's moons.
The earth doesn't spin because of gravity, and gravity has not ceased to exist.
Space itself does not have gravity, as gravity is a force produced by mass. In space, the gravity experienced depends on the mass of nearby objects, such as planets or stars. If you are far away from any massive objects, you would experience very little gravity, while being close to a massive object would result in stronger gravity.
Most scientists believe that Jupiter's gravity has played an important role in shaping our solar system. We can't say exactly what things would be like without Jupiter, but it would probably be quite different. The planets would likely be on different orbits, and we might even have different planets from the ones we have. Saturn, for example, might have ended up larger than it is if it were not for Jupiter robbing it of gas from the inner solar system.
If gravity didn't exist at all, planets, stars and solar systemswouldn't have formed as we currently know them.
They would fly randomly through space.
If gravity did NOT exist, then we all would be floating in mid air and would float into things, like airplanes. Plus, then if we fall, we would be in outerspace. COOL!
This question would not exist!
If god didn't exist then the hole world and all the planets and galaxy's would never happen
Without gravity, objects and beings would float in a straight line. Planets and stars would not form, and life as we know it would not exist. Gravity is crucial for the structure of the universe and for maintaining the orbits of celestial bodies.
There would be less gravity on earth.
If the sun's gravity suddenly disappeared, the planets would no longer be held in orbit around it. They would continue moving in a straight line due to their inertia, leading them to drift off into space in their respective directions. The solar system as we know it would cease to exist.
Yes! Anything that has mass has gravity. The more mass something has (the bigger it is), then the more gravity it will have. So everything around us (including all the planets) have gravity! Even people have gravity...it's just that people are so small that there's not enough gravity to matter. Even the biggest building on the Earth is too small to have enough gravity for you to notice it. But since planets are /really/ big, they have enough gravity to hold things down.
we wouldn't be posting questions which means we wouldn't exist at all
If the sun where to abruptly cease to exist, after 8 minutes, the planets orbiting it would careen off into space. This would be due to the sudden ceaseation of the effect of the sun's gravity, which can only travel at the speed of light.
Yes, a sky would still exist even without gravity. Gravity is what holds our atmosphere close to Earth, but even without it, the atmosphere would still exist and interact with light to create the appearance of a sky.
