Helium... that's what i found in chemicalelements.com ... but on my science homework (Crossword) it doesnt fit because of the L in Chlorine. :/

Helium is a noble gas with 2 electrons.

(Respond to earlier message:)

I have the same science homework, and if it still helps, 18 down is Fluorine, not Chlorine. And 20 across is Helium.

How many electrons does barium has to give up to achieve a noble gas electron configuration?

Barium has 2 valence electrons. It needs to give up these 2 electrons to achieve a noble gas electron configuration, specifically by having a filled outer shell like a noble gas.

How many electrons does barium have to give up in order to achieve a noble gas electron configuration?

Barium has 2 electrons in its outer shell. In order to achieve a noble gas electron configuration it needs to lose these 2 electrons. This will leave it with the same electron configuration as Xenon, a noble gas.

What is the noble gas configuration of strontium?

The noble gas configuration of strontium is [Kr]5s². Strontium has an atomic number of 38, which means it has 38 electrons. The noble gas before strontium is krypton ([Kr]), which has 36 electrons. The remaining two electrons fill the 5s orbital in strontium, leading to the noble gas configuration [Kr]5s².
