Assuming the "image screen" the question refers to is merely a display of what would be seen through the microscope ocular, a printed letter "e" placed in its normal reading position on a light microscope stage would appear upside down and backwards. This has to do with the shape and position of the two lenses in a compound light microscope. As light rays from the image, moving parallel to each other, pass through the convex objective lens, they are bent toward the middle axis of the lens. The middle axis can be defined as the ray of light that enters the lens's center point at exactly 90 degrees from the lens surface, retaining its original trajectory without modification. Because of this converging trajectory toward this axis, all of the light rays intersect a short distance beyond the lens and continue on their paths, diverging now, until they contact the second convex lens in the ocular of the microscope. As these diverging light rays pass through the second lens, they are bent, as in the first. This time, however, instead of parallel rays bent to intersect, these now divergent rays are bent to be parallel again. At this point, the light that carried the top of the image is now emerging from the second lens at the bottom. In like fashion, all other light rays, except the very center, will have, at this point, inverted their position, thus causing images to appear upside down and backwards.

What is the position of letter e under the microscope?

The position of the letter "e" under a microscope depends on the magnification level, focus, and orientation of the slide. The letter may appear distorted or blurry at higher magnifications and may shift in position as the focus changes.

How is the orientation of the letter e changed by the lenses of the microscope?

The orientation of the letter "e" seen through a microscope will be inverted, meaning it will appear upside down compared to the original orientation. This is due to the way the lenses in the microscope refract and bend light as it passes through them, resulting in a flipped image.

Compare the size and position of the letter when viewed under the microscope?

When viewed under a microscope, the letter will appear much larger in size compared to when viewed with the naked eye. The position of the letter will remain the same, but the increased magnification of the microscope allows for a closer and more detailed examination of its features.

If the letter p is placed under the microscope in the normal reading position what orientations of the letter would the viewer see?

When the letter "p" is placed under a microscope in the normal reading position, the viewer would see the letter rotated 180 degrees, appearing as a lowercase "d." This is because microscopes produce an inverted image due to the way light rays pass through the lens system. The orientation change is a result of the optical properties of the microscope, specifically the inversion of the image produced.

What does the triangle indicate the temperature does?

If by triangle, you refer to the Greek letter delta [Δ], then it means change. So if you see ΔT, this means a change in temperature, if that is the context. The letter Δ can be applied to many variables, such as (depending on context) Δv could mean a change in velocity, or Δx could mean a change in position in the x direction, and Δy can mean a change in position in the y direction, so Δy/Δx is [change in y] divided by [change in x] which is the slope.
