Once Passlock activates in a vehicle, it will prevent the engine from starting until the correct key is used to disarm the system. If the incorrect key is used or there is a problem with the system, the vehicle will not start and may need to be towed to a mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
Cutting the yellow wire may disable the passlock system, but you might need to reconnect it depending on the type of vehicle and passlock system. It's important to consult a professional or refer to the vehicle's manual for specific instructions to ensure safe and proper handling.

Copper is the mineral that activates the enzyme choline acetyltransferase, which is involved in the formation of acetylcholine.
Cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) is a key substance that activates protein kinases and functions as a second messenger in cellular signaling pathways. It is produced from ATP by the enzyme adenylate cyclase in response to various extracellular signals. Once formed, cAMP activates protein kinase A (PKA), leading to the phosphorylation of target proteins and subsequent cellular responses. This process plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism, gene expression, and other physiological functions.

You have to remove the radio to get to the passlock sensor. Once the radio is removed, its right behind the ingnition switch. It is possible to by pass it, the yellow wire required to do it only though. The sensor is actually part of the ignition cylinder itself. It is in the case surrounding the tumbler portion of the lock.
The Passlock System on the Oldsmobile Achieva is a passive anti-theft feature that disables the engine if an unauthorized key is used. It relies on a sensor in the ignition lock cylinder that detects the presence of a specially coded key. When the key is turned, the sensor sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM); if the signal matches the stored code, the ECM allows the engine to start. If the code does not match, the system activates the fuel cutoff, preventing the engine from running.
