they are not compressible
The main reason is that earth is made by atoms. Everything in earth are atoms. Solids have atoms close together, water have atoms that are loose and gas have atoms that are so loose that it just goes to places rapidly. Earth is a solid with water, which is a liquid, and air, which is a gas.
All metals are solids except mercury. They inhibit properties of ductility , malleability and conductivity. Ductility is an ability of a metal under tensile stress. Malleability is an ability to convert metals into a sheet like structure. Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity. i.e. electricity can easily pass through them.
one difference is just that the water is in a different form, I do not know the second one sorry i was trying to figure it out when i found this and decided to answer at the least part of thanks -Sarah
Finite volume, and a finite shape are the main characteristics.
The main characteristic is that they have many cells.
The three main types of geometric solids are polyhedra, which are three-dimensional shapes with flat polygonal faces; curved solids, which include shapes like spheres and cylinders with curved surfaces; and composite solids, which are formed by combining multiple geometric solids. Each type has distinct properties and characteristics that define their structure and dimensions.
The three main elements are: FUEL, for solid or liquid engines. This is the part that actually burns. OXIDIZER, for both, as there is not enough oxygen in the fuel cell to cause combustion. Combustion causes expanding gasses and controlled release from the combustion chamber causes thrust. STABILIZER, mostly for solids, and used to maintain a consistent/even burn of the fuel.
in a solid, the molecules are more tightly packed than in a liquid, and they have very little room to move around. in a liquid, the molecules are a bit more free to move around, but not as much as in a gas. you freeze a liquid to make it a solid, and you heat up a solid to make it a liquid, or even a gas. i hope this was helpful enough.
Okay... Whoever wrote this was really stupid. One of the main characteristics of liquid is that it takes the shape of the bottom of it's container. So no, a liquid does not keep it's own shape. If it did, then it would be a solid.
Earthquakes are sudden releases of energy in the Earth's crust, resulting in shaking of the ground. They are caused by the movement of tectonic plates or volcanic activity. The main characteristics of earthquakes include their magnitude (measured on the Richter scale), depth of focus, and location.
Solids and gases have a number of things in common. The main similarity between the two is that they can be converted into liquid state.
The three main states of matter are solid, liquid, and gas. Solids have a fixed shape and volume, liquids have a definite volume but take the shape of their container, and gases have neither a fixed shape nor volume and expand to fill their container.

What is the main liquid that vacuoles store

One of the main characteristics of a bureaucracy is authority that is hierarchical. The other two characteristics are job specialization, and formalized rules.
