The larger a cell becomes, the more demands the cell places on its DNA and the more trouble the cell has moving enough nutrients and wastes across the cell membrane. Therefore the cell must divide. When a cell divides there are four main phases. Prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Ending in two daughter cells.

The splitting of cells into a copy is called cell division. This process involves the duplication of genetic material and division of the cell into two daughter cells, each with an identical copy of the parent cell's DNA.

Meiosis: sex cell division Mitosis: animal/plant cell division
DNA is copied once during the process of cell division.

Cell division is when the parent cell divides into two or more daughter cells. This all happens during cell cycle. A process in which formation of new cell by the division of the preexisting cells take place is known as cell division A process in which formation of new cell by the division of the preexisting cells take place is known as cell division
Process in which one cell divided to form 2 cells .
It helps the cell in the process of cell division.
The process of cell division results in two new cells. This is accomplished through binary fission, meiosis or mitosis depending on the cell.
During cytokinesis, the process of cell division, the cell undergoes the final stage of division where the cytoplasm is divided into two daughter cells. This process occurs alongside the completion of mitosis, which is the division of the cell's nucleus.
Cell division occurs in both the processes of mitosis and meiosis.
