Claw comes out as Anthorip and root comes out as Lileep. It doesn't matter which one you choose because you can get the opposite fossil when you beat the game, but I personally prefer anthorith.
In Pokémon Sapphire, you can choose to revive either the Claw Fossil into Anorith or the Root Fossil into Lileep. The decision is up to personal preference based on which Pokémon you prefer to have on your team.
In Pokémon Emerald, the Mirage Tower contains two fossils: Root Fossil and Claw Fossil. Players can choose one fossil to revive into either Lileep (from the Root Fossil) or Anorith (from the Claw Fossil) at the Devon Corporation in Rustboro City.
You can find two fossils in the dessert where you need the go-goggles, but you can only choose one fossil. The root fossil contains the first evolve form of cradily and the claw fossil contains the first evolved form of armaldo.
I have Pokemon Sapphire, but it's the same thing in both games. There are two fossils, one is the root fossil and one is the claw fossil. The root fossil will get you a Lileep (which then evolves into a Cradily at lvl40) and the claw fossil will get you an Anorith (which also evolves at lvl40 to give you an Armaldo). Hope that helps!!
In Pokemon Emerald, players can revive the Root Fossil to obtain Lileep and the Claw Fossil to obtain Anorith. These prehistoric Pokemon can be revived by taking the fossils to the Devon Corporation in Rustboro City and having them regenerated into living Pokemon.
You can find the Claw and Root fossil on Route 111, but you can choose only one.
You make a Pokemon hold a root fossil on another game. Then you migrate or trade that Pokemon to the game that you have the claw fossil.

it is in the top right of the desert. you can choose between it and the claw fossil
You will receive them both during the course of the game anyway, so it does not matter too much whether you choose the root (Lileep) or the claw (Anorith) fossil.
Claw Fossil - Anorith Root Fossil - Lileep
in the desert wear your go goggles
after beating the elite four , go to fallabour city and enter the fossil maniac's house.... enter the cave behind the maniac and go straight to the center of the cave.... there you will find dittos which are lvl 35 and above..... if you go still forward you will get the other fossil which you did not choose..... ( if you chose root fossil you get a claw fossil and if you choose a claw fossil you will find a root fossil)
