It increases a lot...... if a family member has had it.... not like a grandma but a parent or sibling. If you are overweight. People need to eat plenty of vegetables seriously they vitaminsetc can reduce your risk of cancer considerably. You have to eat healthy.. but not over the top. Also some foods can seriously increase the risks. They say breast feeding can reduce the risk of cancer well obveously it doesnt because those who have breast fed have contracted the disease. As you get older as well your risk of getting cancer hugely increases, an unbelieveable amount if people are diagnosed with cancer every year. Personaly i dont think there is anything we can do.

Why does UV light cause cancer?

UV light causes cancer by damaging the DNA in skin cells, leading to mutations that can result in uncontrolled cell growth and the development of cancer. Prolonged exposure to UV light, especially from the sun, increases the risk of skin cancer due to this DNA damage. UV light can also weaken the immune system's ability to repair damaged cells, further increasing the likelihood of cancer development.

Multi-hit model of carcinogenesis?

The multi-hit model of carcinogenesis posits that cancer develops through the accumulation of multiple genetic mutations or "hits" in key genes involved in cell growth and proliferation. Each mutation increases the likelihood of uncontrolled cell growth and tumor formation. This model suggests that cancer is a multi-step process requiring the accumulation of mutations over time.

What is relationship between recombination frequency and genetic distance?

Recombination frequency is a measure of the likelihood of two genes being inherited together during reproduction. Genetic distance is the physical measure of the separation between two genes in a genome. There is a direct relationship between recombination frequency and genetic distance - as the genetic distance between two genes increases, the likelihood of recombination events between them also increases.

What general effect does temperature have on the soulubility of a solid?
