both tobacco and alcohol is very harmful to plants. Tobacco contains acetone(nail polish remover), cadmium (used in batteries), acetic acid (vinegar), ammonia(toilet cleaner), stearic acid (candle wax), etc. tobacco sounds more bad influence on plants, but its actually not. because when you give alcohol to plants, liquid of alcohol will be directly dissolved on the soil and this reacts faster than smoke.

Does marijuana do less damage to the body than alcohol?

I've done some reading on this, and from what I can find, (surprisingly) Tobacco is significantly worse than Pot. Actually, according to scientific studies, heroin and cocaine were ranked most dangerous, followed by barbiturates and street methadone. Alcohol was the fifth-most harmful drug and tobacco the ninth most harmful. Cannabis came in 11th, and near the bottom of the list was Ecstasy..Three factors to determine the harm associated with any drug: the physical harm to the user, the drug's potential for addiction, and the impact on society of the drug's use.
