Its mainly hydrogen (80%) and helium (19%). There is also around 1% methane in the atmosphere, which absorbs the red light and gives it its blue colour and there are some traces of Hydrogen deuteride and Ethane.

There are also various ices present, such as ammonia, water and ammonium hydrosulfide.
