Fish, or animals with gills must absorb oxygen from sea water which has a low available oxygen level, particularly warm sea water so they must move great amounts of water through their gills in order to get enough to survive. Sea mammals must always surface in order to get a breath and their diving depth and time is limited by this. Land mammals have more than enough available oxygen in the air to support life. To emphasize, air has a much higher concentration of oxygen when compared to water under the same conditions. Air is about 21% oxygen (1) whereas water is about 1% oxygen (1). It is interesting to see how different animals obtain their oxygen. Small insects have pores that allow oxygen to directly diffuse into their tissues, thus ridding the necessity of a complex circulatory system. 1.http://lakeaccess.org/russ/oxygen.htm

A single celled organism that can carry on all its life processes is called a unicellular organism. These organisms can perform essential functions such as respiration, reproduction, and obtaining nutrients within a single cell.
no respiration is a process that happens in an organism
It is not possible to tell if the difference give an organism an advantage because you have not given the difference.

A salt water has an advantage over other organisms because the earth is made of more salt water then it is fresh water or land. This gives it more space to live and reproduce.

yes all green terrestrial plants can photosynthesise
The organism responsible for cellular respiration is the mitochondria.

A terrestrial organism is an organism that lives primarily on land, as opposed to in water or in the air. These organisms have evolved to survive and thrive in terrestrial environments. Examples include plants, animals, and insects that are adapted to life on land.
Respiration.
It takes place in every organism. Every plant, animal, bacteria, fungi, protist do respiration
