Neptune is the Roman god of water and the seas. His greek counterpart is Poseidon.

He rules everything that has to do with water: naval battles, fishing, sea monsters, etc. He has a powerful trident (just like Jupiter/Zeus has a thunderbolt).

Poseidon/Neptune also rules horses. The Greek legend says that he offered the horse to the Athenians, so that they would choose him as god-protector of their city.
