I'm not sure look in your science book or ask ur teacher or parents
It is called the asthenosphere.
The Asthenosphere is part of the Mantle of the Earth
asthenosphere
Materials like certain types of lava, some types of salt, and even certain polymers can behave like the asthenosphere, exhibiting both solid and fluid characteristics. These materials can flow under pressure over time, displaying a property known as "viscoelasticity." Similar to the asthenosphere, they can maintain a solid structure while allowing for slow movement. Additionally, geological features like glaciers also exhibit solid-like behavior while flowing slowly under their own weight.
The asthenosphere is only partially molten with some estimates of around 5 percent.
One characteristic of the asthenosphere is that it is a semi-fluid layer beneath the lithosphere where the material can flow slowly over time. This property allows for the movement of tectonic plates.
I think some of the caracteristics of the athenosphere is that its almost like plastic and can deform. But if anone thinks otherwies please help. I tried looking everywhere and all the other answers are crap.
It is called the asthenosphere.
The Asthenosphere is part of the Mantle of the Earth
The asthenosphere is the region of the upper mantle of the Earth. With a base depth of about 700 kilometers, it is involved in plate tectonic movement and isotactic adjustments, seismic waves pass through slowly and a small percentage of melt.
Magma could be found occurring in the lithosphere or the asthenosphere, usually originating in the asthenosphere.

they sit on the asthenosphere
