- Mitochondria are the energy facilities of the cell. They produce ATP, one of the "energy tokens" of cells. They came a long time ago from the endocytose of a bacterium in eukaryote cells, and they indeed still contain a circular DNA that hold very specific genes (though they are fully part of the cell), as well as a double membrane (called inner and outer membranes).

- Golgi body is the place where proteins are matured (like being acylated or glycosylated), after being synthetised in endoplasmic reticulum. It is also the place where lipids are synthetised.
