There are many reasons to study Biology. This answer mainly refers to A-level, but can be for other stages of education development too. Studying Biology not only lets you see how the world around you and your body works, but why it works that way. It gives you the knowledge to look after your body and others' around you and lets you understand things you might never have done before. Biology also is very useful for both medical and social science professions. Psychology, dentistry, medicine, child development and geography all incorporate [however high or low] biology, as well as Maths and the other Science cores [Chemistry and Physics, though these two are perhaps more mathematical than core biology itself]. Also, if you are thinking of studying Biology at a much advanced level, then biology gives you the capacity to make a heady difference in somebody's life. Biology can, has and will save lives; what would help us find a cure for cancer? Cancer in itself is biology; so therefore, the cure must lie within it. I myself hope to study Biology in the future, for a neurosurgical degree. Biology can lead to all sorts of oppurtunities; and if you don't like a certain part of Biology? You can always major/graduate in another aspect of it. For example, if you do not enjoy geographical biology, you can always study the human body and vice versa. If you prefer to learn about the liver and not the brain in Biology, you can study that, as Biology is a very vast subject. I hope my answer has been useful to you. BananaMilkshake
