Gastrulation is the term that refers to the process in which cells differentiate into layers, with each layer ultimately forming distinct parts of the fetus. During gastrulation, the three primary germ layers (ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm) are established in early embryonic development.

Different layers of atmosphere protect us. They do it by blocking the unwanted radiations of the sun.
The four layers of the Earth's atmosphere from Earth to space are the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, and thermosphere. Each layer has distinct characteristics and plays a role in regulating the Earth's climate and protecting life on the planet.
The Earth's atmosphere is divided into five major layers: the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and exosphere. Each layer has distinct characteristics and plays a specific role in protecting and regulating our planet.

Because there different kind of layers and they each are totally different from each other!

How are the major parts of the earth system related to each other
Looking at the whole earth is is layered with the densest materials in the core and the lightest materials forming the surface. This is because it was once molten and was therefore able to differentiate into density stratified layers. Looking in finer detail at the surface of the planet, the process of erosion and deposition of rocks causes sediments to be laid down in layers parallel to the surface of the planet. These then get deformed when the continents move and the layers can be seen in outcrop.
Compositional layers refer to the Earth's division based on the materials that make up each layer (crust, mantle, core), while mechanical layers classify the Earth based on how easily each layer can flow or deform (lithosphere, asthenosphere, mesosphere, outer core, inner core). The compositional layers focus on the materials present, while the mechanical layers focus on the physical properties and behavior of each layer.
There is no interaction of ozone layer with other layers. All of them are independent of each other.
The characteristic is temperature. While pressure diminishes with increasing altitude, it is dependent on the underlying air masses. Temperature changes vary consistently within each of the major layers (troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, exosphere).
