Why did and asteroid hit the diosaurs?

The dinosaurs didn't survive because when the meteor hit, there was a bunch of dust and soil that rose out of the earth, causing the sun to block out. All of everything died because the sun wasn't reaching the earth. First the plants died, then the plant eaters, then the meat eaters, see? It totally destroyed the web of life.

Why is Darwinian evolution referred to as The Great Synthesis?

Darwin's work is referred to as The Great Synthesis because, to build his theory of evolution, Darwin used ideas from other scientists such as Malthus, Lyell, Lamarck, Mendel, Linnaeus, (and probably a few others that I'm forgetting... that geology guy that talked about gradualism?). Anyway, Darwin stands apart from these men because he managed to compile a ton of evidence supporting his hypotheses, and created a coherent theory! So, it's a "synthesis" because he brought lots of facts and ideas together to make his most famous book, "On the Origin of Species."

When did the democritus become famous?

What killed off the dinosaurs?

A current theory that is widely accepted and supported by a great deal of evidence is that organisms were significantly affected by the environmental effects of the Chicxulub meteor impact, leading to the disruption of the food chain and the extinction of nearly 60% of the existing species that existed at that time including the non avian dinosaurs.Essentially, the atmospheric dust and gas created prevented the Earth's plants from receiving enough sunlight over a period of many years. The colder climate also reduced the habitats of cold-blooded reptiles like the dinosaurs.Another event that is thought to have contributed to this mass extinction is the occurrence of very large scale volcanic eruptions (known as a large igneous province) in this case known as the Deccan Traps that produced significant volumes of volcanic gasses that contributed to global cooling.Dinosaurs were a casualty of one, or a combination of, these events.it is a metor rock that crushes into the earth kill the dinosaurs

What did Charles Darwin do before he became intrested in science and naturalism?

Before developing his interest in science and naturalism, Charles Darwin studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh but found it unappealing. He later pursued a degree in theology at Christ's College, Cambridge, where he became fascinated by natural history. His exposure to various scientific ideas and his passion for collecting specimens during this time set the stage for his later groundbreaking work in evolutionary biology.

Why is it hard to know if the ideas about dinosaurs are incorrect?

Because dinosaurs are only known from fossils, most of what we know about dinosaurs is actually an educated guess. If we were wrong, we wouldn't know because we can't observe them to see that we were wrong.

How can Darwinian evolution be true if biogenesis says life comes from life ONLY?

Look, Charles Darwin never addressed the issue of biogensis beyond speculation if that. Darwinian Evolution is only concerned with how do existing organisms give rise to new species, arguing that species are not immutable and give rise to new species, ie, life from existing life. In "Origin of Species" he presents the mechanism of evolution, remarkable since he did not know of Mendel's work or the existence of DNA! To say Darwinian Evolution claims life from non organic beginnings is erroneous and if propagated, deceitful. If you decide to challenge Darwinian Evolution then, please, do so from a position of understanding - read the book or take a course in Evolutionary Biology.

Which is not one of Darwin's four main ideas?

A common misconception is that Darwin proposed four main ideas, commonly referred to as the 4 main postulates of Darwinian evolution. However, Darwin did not explicitly outline four specific ideas in his work. Instead, his theory of evolution by natural selection encompasses multiple concepts such as variation, competition, adaptation, and descent with modification.

Where are dinosaurs?

During the Mesozoic Era, between 250 and 65.5 million years ago, dinosaurs lived on all continents, including Antarctica. During that time, small feathered dinosaurs evolved into birds. When the asteroid impact at the end of the Mesozoic wiped out the non-avian dinosaurs (dinosaurs that weren't birds), birds (still a type of dinosaur) survived. Birds survive to this day and live on all continents. Thus, dinosaurs still survive and live on all continents. Dinosaurs are practically everywhere, both non-avian dinosaurs and avian dinosaurs. Birds are considered to be living dinosaurs too. So avian dinos and non-avian dinos have roamed and still roams all continents, in short the whole world. The claim of dinosaurs being extinct is weak and lacks facts and evidence to support the outrageous claim. There are still mixed ideas about how long dinosaurs have been around. Evolutionists claim that dinosaurs existed around 250-65.5 million years ago while creationists claim that dinosaurs have existed since 6000 years ago til today. In short, dinosaurs are everywhere, both avian dinos (in fossils and living creatures) and non-avian dinos (in fossil and living creatures) and the claim that birds are the only true dinos to still survive appears to be an obvious lie.

What other ideas do scientists have about the extinction of dinosaurs other than a meteorite?

Other than a giant meteorite, the climate could have changed of volcanic eruptions, causing all the plants to die and that means all the plant-eating dinosaurs would disapear and also without prey all the meat-eating dinosaurs would also disapear.
