Solid- particles are closely packed together and vibrate amongst themsleves. Has a definte shape. Sting force of attraction between the molecule.

Liquid- particles either move freely or in clusters. Weak force attraction between the molecule. Takes the shape of the container.

Gas- particles move independantly of each other. Little to no force of attraction between the molecules. They spread out to occupy any open space and can be compressed easily.
