Please try to solve problems by yourself or using tips and instructions given by your teacher or a peer next time instead of going on here for answers or you won't learn much! Even so, I'll give you instructions on how to find the answers.

Note that the answer can differ for each person, as everyone could end up having a different contour map after tracing and measurements could be off.

To find the graident, you would have to subtract the change in field value (Example Going from Point E to Point F;Point E= 2 ft, Point F= 3 ft; 3 - 2= 1; The change in field value from Point E to F is 1 foot.) and divide that over distance (Using the scale given; In this case, the horizontal scale is 1cm=1km) Formula: Gradient= Change in field value/Distance

To solve this problem:

  1. Measure how far the point is from the other point (The rim in this case, or the highest elevation given when you filled the water in the box all the way to 6)
  2. Use the formula (Point - Point)/Distance or the gradient formula.
  3. Convert the answer from centimeters to kilometers (In this case, you just got to write (Answer)km instead of (Answer)cm because of the scale being 1cm=1km)
  4. You have found the gradient! Yay~

Hope this helped :)

Lab 10- how did the surface pressure gradient in the great lakes region change during this 36-hour period?

During the 36-hour period observed in Lab 10, the surface pressure gradient in the Great Lakes region exhibited notable fluctuations. Initially, there was a steep pressure gradient, indicating strong winds and potentially unstable weather conditions. As the period progressed, the gradient gradually weakened, suggesting a shift towards more stable atmospheric conditions. This change in the pressure gradient likely influenced local weather patterns, including precipitation and temperature variations.
