well the simple answer are bones which support and protect the body. but to expand on that their is also the periosteum, a sheath of connective tissue that surrounds the bones. the skeleton is divided into 2 catagories. the apendicular skeleton and the axial skeleton. the axial skeleton are the 80 bones on the head neck back and ribs. the apendicular skeleton consist of 126 bones that make up the arms legs and pelvis and shoulders. while their are much more detailed aspects to bones. that's all their is to the skeleton. also as a side note learning the bones is easyer than you might think as over half are simply numberd copies of other bones (ex Right rib 1 right rib 2 right rib 3 and so on) learn the bones in the skull and the hard parts over.
