Lowe's Syndrome is a rare X-linked recessive disorder. This means that the gene is on the X chromosome. Girls can carry this gene but since they have 2 X chromosomes, it is not expressed in them but carried by them. It is seen in boys since they have one X and one Y. They do not have a second X to "hide" the gene.
