Bacteria can sink to the bottom of a broth culture due to their weight and increased cell density as they multiply. Factors like gravity, viscosity of the broth, and bacterial cell characteristics can contribute to the settling process. This phenomenon can be observed in stationary phase cultures or when nutrient depletion causes the bacteria to clump together and settle.
A planning hull is designed to lift out of the water as speed increases, allowing the vessel to "plane" on the surface rather than plowing through it. Key characteristics include a flat or slightly V-shaped bottom, a sharp entry angle, and a wider beam for stability at higher speeds. This design enhances speed and fuel efficiency, making planning hulls ideal for recreational boats and high-performance vessels. Additionally, they offer better maneuverability and reduced drag when at cruising speeds.

Depends on exactly what type of display you are talking about. You're basic end cap display should include 2 different items preferably. The bottom portion, or "base," should be the largest section of the display. Then a shelf of something that ties in with the bottom. This is the "shadow" shelf. Lastly, the top portion should duplicate the bottom. The top should be smaller than the base. Roughly 2/3 as big. A typical end cap might include laundry detergent on the top and bottom with fabric softener sheets in the middle as the shadow.
