Lets start in the past.Back in the bad old days most everyone smoked. Smoke filled offices, resaurants, theatres. stores and family cars when people went on vacation.

Doctors told the smoking adults that they would get lung cancer and many other diseases from their habit but they didn't care. People are comfortable with their own bad habits and feel they will never get hurt.

Then the kids started to think "Hey, I don't smoke and I'm breathing in all this gunk and I'll have all these problems. And my smoking parents will die and I'll be all alone!".

So, unofficially, they started to nag their parents, and bring home reports on why smoking is bad from school and other influences.

Back to now.

Climate change is like that ... large industries and wealthy companies continue to make the emissions that cause the problem, cut down the trees that remove the carbon dioxide and block the rules that could change things..

Every citizen who is not contributing to the problem and who feels their life will made worse if the problem continues to grow will have to get busy nagging - to politicians, industries they buy from and companies and banks they invest in - to stop the emissions and get us on the right track.
