i assume hurricanes cause more deaths since I know for a fact that more people die of lightening strikes than shark attacks and there aren't very many of them. Sorry if this doesn't help. try searching 'natural disasters'.

Which way do hurricanes and tornadoes rotate in the Northern Hemisphere?

In the Northern Hemisphere, hurricanes and tornadoes typically rotate counterclockwise. This is due to the Coriolis effect, which causes moving air to be deflected to the right in the Northern Hemisphere.

Natural causes that may change an environment on Earth?

forest fire,hurricanes and tornadoes

What causes most deaths Earthquakes lightning Strikes or Hurricanes?

Earthquakes have caused more deaths than hurricanes, and hurricanes have caused more deaths than lightning.

What is both an example of a tornado and hurricane?

There is no such example. Tornadoes and hurricanes have a few things in common, but they are different phenomena with different causes and dynamics. However, many hurricanes have spawned tornadoes. Hurricane Ivan holds the record for having produced 117 tornadoes.

Does lightning kill more people than Hurricanes or tornadoes?

No, lightning typically kills fewer people than hurricanes or tornadoes. On average, lightning causes around 30-60 deaths per year in the United States, while hurricanes and tornadoes can cause hundreds of deaths in a single event.

Does the catastrophe have weather geologic or hurricanes cause of a tornado?

Tornadoes are produced by weather patterns. This can include hurricanes. Other catestrophes may have different causes.

Do people think tornadoes and hurricanes the same?

No, tornadoes and hurricanes are not the same. Tornadoes are localized, violent windstorms with a narrow path of destruction, while hurricanes are large, rotating storm systems that form over tropical waters and can cover a wide area. Both are dangerous weather phenomena but have different causes and characteristics.

What causes the loud noise during lighting?

What are some disturbences that cause secondary succesion?

How a storm like a hurricane or a tornado speed up the process of erosion?

Hurricanes often cause severe flooding. The water moving over land causes erosion. Waves from hurricanes can erode beaches. The winds in tornadoes have sometimes been known to scour soil away, but this is rare, only occurring in the most violent tornadoes. Both tornadoes and hurricanes can destroy trees and other vegetation, which leaves the soil vulnerable to erosion.

What causes hurricanes or tornadoes to begin spinning?

Hurricanes and tornadoes spin for different reasons. Hurricanes spin dues to the Coriolis effect, a consequence of the earth's spin. How it works is somewhat complicated, bu in essence the air flowing into a hurricane gets deflected, to the right if it is in the northern hemisphere and to the left in the southern hemisphere. This causes counterclockwise and clockwise rotation respectively. Tornadoes, by contrast, are too small for the Coriolis effect to have a significant influence. Tornadoes get their rotation from the parent thunderstorm, which has a rotating updraft called a mesocyclone. Wind shear, a difference in wind speed and direction with altitude essentially twists the updraft, causing it to start rotating.
