good question, well i have alot more info about earthquakes more then i do with volcanic eruption's.

Earthquakes: Well on each planet there are plates. Plates are little spinning things on earth's orbit. There near space so there no visible with the human eye. If you wish do see these plates get a book about it because it burns very bad when you use a telescope at day. OWCH. Earth has 2 plates and once in all while these plates meet. When these plates meet one is forced upwards. Picture a ramp it meets upwards with the ground. OK i forgot sorry but i am pretty sure the plates are underground i think not sure. Under the ground these plates will and one will shift upwards as i said before. When these plates shift upwards the plates hit the land above them then the plates will still move as they scrape the land above. Then have you ever noticed some drops when you look at earthquakes? When the plate above the under plate is passed the under plate it drops back in place. The ground is forced downwards.

Volcanic eruptions:

Well the bottom of a volcano is a path to the underground. rock and heat are some of the things that make up the underground. When something interrupts the underground where does the rock and heat go?? UP THE VOLCANO OF COURSE!! The heat is trapped by the rock and heat under it. Like a maze, the heat is trying to get in between the rocks. One thing tho it NEVER finds a way out. One point the heat and rock soon make lava and when to much of rock and heat store up up it goes it will slowly come at first. Then more and more and more comes and it just doesn't know what to do. So it BURSTS out. I think that's right. It kinda like throwing up.

Well i hope you learned alot about natural Earth disasters. :(

RIP people who die in these horrible things....:(
