"Animals can move about.
They eat by consuming their food rather than by taking in liquids via their sap.
No plants have legs or arms
No plants can think, or see, or hear, or taste or smell."
#1- Sap has nothing to do with taking in water, root tips do. ALL water and broken down nutrients are absorbed through the roots, specifically the tips.
#2- Animals need H2O- All living things need water. Animals "consume" water.
#3- It is called Autotrophic and Heterotrophic. Auto meaning it takes one, just the plant. Hetero meaning 2, meaning that the animal needs an external food source.
#4- Their are vine plants that look for things to climb, with arms.
#5- I would also like to address that sap is used when the plant is damaged, it seals in moisture.
Plants are stationary and animals are mobile.
Anyway, #3 is the answer to the question.
They are LIVING THINGS!
There are several pretty clear ways that place are different from non-living things: 1. Plants grow through cellular reproduction. 2. Plants take in food and expel waste (metabolism) 3. Plants reproduce. 4. Plants respond to stimuli Non-living things (inanimate objects) do none of those things. This list can go on, but those are some of the basics.
Living things exhibit characteristics such as organization, growth and development, reproduction, response to stimuli, adaptation to the environment, and energy processing through metabolism. Life processes include nutrition, respiration, circulation, excretion, regulation, reproduction, growth, and synthesis of complex molecules. These processes are essential for the survival and functioning of living organisms.
Althoug plants are not capable of locomotion, they display many other characteristics of a living thing. For example, they respire (Non-living things do not respire or breathe), They prepare food and consume food for energy, they grow, they also get sick and wither or die.
Examples of living things include humans, animals, plants, fungi, and bacteria. All of these organisms exhibit characteristics of life, such as growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli.
They are LIVING THINGS!
yes
they cannot move but they are living things
Because this is their Nature.

They both have common characteristics as they depend on oxygen for life. These living things follow a universal circle of life with birth, reproduction and death.

It means over 9000
All living things have cell as their structural and functional unit. Plants, however, do not havecentrioles in their cell. Animal cell do not have a cell wall but have a cell membrane instead. All living thing reproduces. The method of reproduction is different for different groups of animals and plant's

Living things are classified based on their characteristics such as cell structure, mode of nutrition, reproduction methods, and how they obtain energy. These characteristics help scientists group organisms into different categories like bacteria, plants, fungi, and animals based on their similarities and differences. This classification system helps to understand the diversity of life on Earth and study the relationships between different species.
