choking agents
Two examples are chlorine and phosgene.
Chemical agents that primarily attack the airway and lungs, causing irritation from the nose to the lungs, include chlorine gas, ammonia, and sulfur dioxide. These chemicals can result in a condition known as chemical pneumonitis or chemical burns to the respiratory tract, leading to symptoms similar to "dry land drowning" due to fluid buildup in the lungs. Immediate medical attention is crucial in such cases.
Wind. When wind blows across sediment it lifts it up and carries it. wind may leave behind particles way too heavy to move. The agent of erosion, wind, of the land is called deflation. Deflation causes the land to move/migrate or lower the surface.

To my knowledge; Dry-land drowning is a very rare type of drowning that occurs when a small amount of water enters the lungs and destroys the lungs from within creating inflammation of the lung tissue and the deterioration of lung function over time. Victims generally act unharmed with until symptoms erupt after the fact. As I understand, symptoms include, but are not limited to, shortness of breath, dizziness, and incontinence. The victims of dry-land drowning pass with the normal effects of drowning though they are nowhere near water.

The major agent of moving water is the force of gravity, which causes water to flow down slopes and erode the land. Other factors such as wind and the shape of the land also influence the movement of water.
