The same color as the writing from a pencil, very dark grey or black. Pencils used to be made of graphite
i have no idea..... but its probably a no .. take my advice.
Perlite does not have a streak color because it is a volcanic glass that does not leave a streak on a streak plate.
The streak color of calcite is white.
The streak color for wheat is white.
Color is the observable color of a mineral specimen in natural light. Streak is the color of a mineral when powdered. The color of a specific mineral specimen may be different than its streak color. Because many impurities can alter the color of a mineral, but not the streak, streak is a more accurate predictor in mineral identification.
A streak of graphite is the mark left on a surface when graphite is rubbed across it. It is typically a shiny, metallic gray color. Graphite's streak is often used as a diagnostic property to help identify minerals.
Graphite is a mineral that does not leave a clear streak.
When rubbed against a glaze plate, galena (A) leaves a green-black streak. This characteristic streak color helps in identifying the mineral, distinguishing it from others like graphite, hematite, and pyrite, which have different streak colors.
i have no idea..... but its probably a no .. take my advice.
White, but i have no idea why or how, it is used in white pencils replacing graphite and is used to write on black paper
well i really don't know sorry. Here are some useful things close to that... 1. Mica shows clear cleavage. 2. Hardness is a measure of how easily a mineral can be scratched. ill tell you as soon as possible when i figure it out! Thank you
The mineral described is likely hematite. Hematite has a metallic luster, silver color, black streak, and contains iron. It is a common iron oxide mineral found worldwide.
Graphite is a soft, black mineral that leaves a streak on paper and is used in pencils. Galena is a lead-gray mineral that is heavy and often forms cube-shaped crystals. One way to distinguish them is by conducting a streak test - graphite will leave a black streak, while galena will leave a gray streak.
i have no idea..... but its probably a no .. take my advice.
the streak color is Dark Green
The streak test is not a very good identifier of rocks because rocks are composed of combinations of minerals which may have different color streaks. The streak test is mainly used in mineral identification. Even then, it is used in common with other indicators, like hardness, crystal system, and chemical composition.
Perlite does not have a streak color because it is a volcanic glass that does not leave a streak on a streak plate.
