To locate yourself, the units for North and East must be numeric.
This point is in northern Turkey, about 30 miles northeast of Erzincan, and 70 miles south southeast of Trabzon. I never got over here while I was stationed at Samsun, about 210 miles northwest of here.
The antipode is the point Y diametrically opposite point X on the earth's surface. Think of sticking a knitting needle through the globe piercing the surface at point X and going through the center of the earth. Where it breaks out on the opposite side of the world is the antipode: point Y. Many American (and English) children grew up being told that if they dug a deep enough hole in their backyards they would pop out in China -- but that is patently false. If X is in the northern hemisphere, then Y is in the southern, and vice versa. A place and its antipode are found at the same number of degrees of latitude away from the equator. The antipode of the North Pole -- 90 degrees N, is the South Pole -- 90 degrees S. Lat X North = Lat Y South; and Lat X South = Lat Y North The Longitude of point Y is 180 degrees around the globe from the Longitude of point X. 180 - Long X East = Long Y West 180 - Long X West = Long Y East
North, south, east, and west are the four cardinal directions that help navigate and determine positions on a map or compass. North is the direction towards the North Pole, south is the direction towards the South Pole, east is to the right when facing north, and west is to the left when facing north.
Parallels, also called lines of Latitude, measure the distance (in degrees) either North or south of the equator. 90 Degrees N = North Pole 0 Degrees = Equator 90 Degrees S = South Pole

They are related becasue they descibe a point on the coordinate. The X coordinate determine if the direction is east or west. If it is in negatives, the point is west and if in the positives, it is in the east. The Y coordinates determine if a point is north or south. If it is in the negatives, the point is south and if it is in the positives, the point is in the north. For example if the X coordinate is 5 and the y coordinate is -15, the point would be 5 degrees east and 15 degrees south. I hope this helped.

They are the four parts of the plane formed by the axes, They are numbered anti-clockwise from North East so that North East = I: x > 0, y > 0 North West = II: x < 0, y > 0 South West = III: x < 0, y < 0 South East = IV: x > 0, y < 0 Points with x = 0 or y = 0 lie on an axis (or axes) and do not belong to any single quadrant.

The x coordinate is the distance to the right (East) from the origin while the y coordinate is the distance up the page (North).

Yemen I don't think there is one that starts with "X"
The x and y axes divide the plane into four quadrants. Quadrant I is North East Quadrant II is North West Quadrant III is South West Quadrant IV is South East
The bearing to that person or object is the heading it traveled on. Draw a right triangle by drawing an x-y coordinate plane to match East (x) and North (y) with the origin matching the point of departure. Now draw a perpendicular line from the new position to the x-axis and the hypotenuse to represent the distance traveled (r). The heading is actually the angle from north to the hypotenuse, so the angle at the origin INSIDE the triangle is its complement (angle A). Use the sin and cos to find the x (east distance) and the y (north distance) Sin A = y/r so, y = r (sin A) similarly x = r (cos A)
Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees so if y = 8x-20 degrees then the complement of y is 90 - (8x - 20) = 110 - 8x degrees.
