There are two basic groups of organisms (living things). Those that can produce their own carbohydrates (autotrophs) and those that need to consume carbohydrates (heterotrophs). Once the organism has carbohydrate available they break it down to sugars, which can be metabolised to produce ATP, the energy carrier of the cell. Depending on the sugar the first step may be glycolysis (if the sugars have six carbon atoms) or the pentose-phosphate pathway (if the sugars have five carbon atoms). The pentose-phosphate pathway feeds into glycolysis.
After glycolysis, if there is oxygen present, more energy molecules are produced during the Krebs Cycle (also called the tricarboxylic acid cycle) and electron transport chain.
Energy of motion.....
you and other animals get the energy from the food the consume . this starts from the producers wich are the plants then it goes to the animal the eats the producer and finally we eat who ever eated the producer theres where we get our energy
Animals convert chemical energy in food into adenosine triphosphate (ATP) through a process called cellular respiration. ATP is the primary energy source used by cells for various metabolic processes.
Animals get the energy they need by consuming food that contains nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. These nutrients are broken down during digestion, releasing energy that is stored in the form of molecules like ATP. The energy stored in ATP is then used by cells in the body for various processes like growth, movement, and reproduction.
what type of energy does food give to plants and animals

The release of energy in plants and animals food is chemical energy.

animals get energy from the food they eat that gives them energy

Animals receive energy from the foods they eat. The food gives animals energy just as food gives humans energy. Plants however, receive their engery in the form of solar energy...from the sun They get their energy from their food.
Tapeworms basically get their energy from their host, gaining the nutrients people/animals get from food. They tend to make people lose weight due to the fact that they are leeching off all the nutrients you can get from food, which is why people/animals with tapeworms become thin, and lose weight.

From their food.
