Wind turbines add power to the grid, so some of the power in your house came from wind farms. The City of Calgary AB wanted it's light rail system to be green so they budgeted enough wind turbines to generate power to run the system. there is no direct connection to the wind farm, but the farm adds more power to the grid than the trains remove.
Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy, which is then transformed into electrical energy. They do not convert energy directly back into potential, kinetic, or thermal energy.
Hydroelectric power stations need to be located at dam walls to take advantage of the potential energy created by the difference in water levels. Water stored in the reservoir behind the dam can be released and flow through turbines located at the base of the dam, generating electricity as the water flows downhill. This setup allows for the conversion of gravitational potential energy into electrical energy.

wind energy is only air but wind mills and wind turbins are about 5m to 10m dollars... so yes they are expensive.
Alaska uses wind turbins tosupply alternate energy to the people

turbins and nuclear rods
They do wear turbans. It is a Sun'nah (practice of the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him))
there are many such as: Wind energy Solar energy coal oil Natural Gas Hydroelectric Power Nuclear Power Geothermal I could go on, but it will be a VERY long list.
wind turbins duh ---------- The Sun heats the atmosphere, more at the equator, less at the poles, causing the air or atmosphere to flow from high energy areas to low energy areas. If the sun would shut off the wind would be reduced significantly, but not to zero. There are other contributing effects but the sun is the largest.
they look like indian/arabic clothes and many of them wear turbins around there heads to protect them from the scorching sun
O'siyo,Back in the days when the Tsalagi( cheorkee) where visiting England an preparing to see the Queen, the English where sooooo upset at the finery we( Cherokee) thought where wearing and found it Not correct to be worn in front of Her ( the queen) that they open a trunk of clothing a delagation from India had left.In it was the wrapped head hats now called turbins... the Cherokee liked them so much they brought them home and added them to their "last fade" of fashion
they were turbins beacouse it is part of there relegion they call ita kesh it is a symbol of faithOR because they have a really really bad mum job for a hairdoYou never know;)
