Modeling Clay, Vinegar, Red Food Coloring, and Baking Soda for the volcano. To avoid a mess lots of newspaper and maybe even a vinyl tablecloth and/or poster board under the clay. The vinegar and food coloring mixture will create lots of liquid at the bottom of your volcano as it "erupts." Step 1. Make your own unique volcano design and form a cup at the top of the volcano to hold your vinegar liquid. Pour the vinegar, and several drop of red food coloring until you see the mixture begin to drip from the top of the volcano. Step 2. Next take a plastic spoon and scoop a huge spoonful baking powder into the top of your volcano. Step 3. The mixture will begin to blend together and form a chemical reaction. You will see the volcano
"erupting" down your clay volcano. Step 4. Allow it to continue to drip and watch the fun. You can pick up your entire volcano mess when you are finished and toss it in the trash or drain some of the color in your sink (be sure to wash all traces of the red food coloring from your sink) and let the volcano air dry for later use. Optional: Embellish the area around your volcano with greenery or a paintings. You can also place the baking soda and food coloring first and then the vinegar. Try it both ways.

It is impossible to make long-term predictions of when a volcano will next erupt.
add more vinegar
To make a volcano model, you can use materials like baking soda, vinegar, water, dish soap, and clay or cardboard to build the volcano structure. Create a cavity at the top of the volcano model to pour a mixture of baking soda, vinegar, and water which will create a foamy eruption when combined. Add a few drops of dish soap to make the eruption bubbly.
To make a volcano erupt using baking soda, create a model volcano using materials like clay or paper mache. Place a container in the top of the volcano and add baking soda. Then, pour vinegar into the container to create a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide gas, causing the eruption.

The best science fair project is the one with a volcano. Build a volcano out of PlayDoh or clay and then use vinegar and baking soda to make it erupt.

A volcano can not be made to erupt by any action of man.

To make a volcano cake erupt you can get jello but keep it like liquid and get a piece of dry ice and it will cause the "smoke" to rise up and soon after it will overflow with the "lava"

To make a model volcano erupt, you can create a chemical reaction by mixing vinegar and baking soda inside the volcano structure. The vinegar is the acid and the baking soda is the base, which react to create carbon dioxide gas, producing the eruption effect. You can add red food coloring to the mix for a more realistic lava effect.
