In the Encyclical Letter, Laudato Si (Praise be to you, On care for our Common Home), the Pope writes about climate change.
He says we have to stop burning coal:"We know that technology based on the use of highly polluting fossil fuels – especially coal, but also oil and, to a lesser degree, gas – needs to be progressively replaced without delay. Until greater progress is made in developing widely accessible sources of renewable energy, it is legitimate to choose the lesser of two evils or to find short-term solutions."
He says our gift to the next generation may be desolation:"We may well be leaving to coming generations debris, desolation and filth. The pace of consumption, waste and environmental change has so stretched the planet’s capacity that our contemporary lifestyle, unsustainable as it is, can only precipitate catastrophes, such as those which even now periodically occur in different areas of the world."He says we have to act immediately:"The effects of the present imbalance can only be reduced by our decisive action, here and now."
No sea protects the UK from climate change, but The Gulf Stream is a warm ocean current that brings warm water from the Carribean Sea to Western Europe. This keeps the UK warmer than, say, Canada, at the moment, and as long as the current still flows.
It is correct
Because Europe and America are where the money is so publicity for climate change is highest there. It's pretty controversial science in spite of the fact that some say the arguement is over. Whether it is real or not, a lot of people are making a lot of money promoting the climate change agenda.
Weather changes faster.Weather is the conditions of the atmosphere in an area at a specific point in time. Climate is the average trend in weather conditions in an area over a period of time. For example one could say summers are warm and dry and they're referring to climate, on the other hand that same person could say it is cold and rainy right now and they would be referring to the weather.
This 2007 documentary suggested that climate scientists were influenced by funding and politics. It also suggested that there was no scientific consensus that humans were causing global warming.
Pope Francis is widely respected and admired so I suppose you could say he is 'cool.'
Soon after his election as pope, Francis, still in papal vestments, went to the hotel where he had rented a room to pay his bill and recover his possessions. He could have sent someone else but chose to do it himself.
You say...Priest...It doesnt change...But actully in Italy it would be,POPE
Climate change is beginning to be seen in many places round the world. Recent record breaking heat waves have led scientists to say that it is "very likely" that these are being aggravated by global warming and climate change.
"Francis" in French is pronounced as "Françoi."
Ich bin Francis
The pope says mass daily, usually in his private chapel.
Some people would say that droughts and floods and other weather events are increasing and this is a sign of climate change. Scientists are more cautious. Climate changes over a number of years, and scientists would say there is not yet a definite connection.
j'taime francis
To the best of my knowledge, no pope has ever stated that the were homosexual.
It is because we are running out of fossil fuels and beecause of climate change
The word "pope" in French is "le pape."
