A pyramid of biomass is representation of the flow of energy.

The Pyramid begins with producers at the bottom and carnivores at the top. As you advance up the pyramid the biomass will decrease. Each level is a representation of how much an organism will consume. So the pyramid would end up having the producers at the bottom as it uses the sun's energy and consumers go after the producers.
