To make a candle burn green, you can use green colored wax or add green dye when making the candle. Be cautious when adding dyes to wax as using too much can affect the burning properties of the candle. Additionally, using eco-friendly and non-toxic dyes is recommended for safety.

Working at a 100 year old Candle Company, ColonialCandle.com, I asked the candle making team of experts. When we have done this experiment using taper candles, the white candle should burn the fastest as there are no colorants to impede the capillary action of the wax through the wick. That is making sure that all things are equal in the candle make up such as wick, and wax. Unless of course , the white candle has an optical bleach in it to have the illusion of being more white. The optical bleach is a pigment and would cause the rate of consumption to be less. Only thing to add is a darker candle can sometimes burn faster because a dark color holds more heat and can cause the candle to burn slightly faster. But your point of all things being equal is the most important factor.

Copper(II) nitrate will turn from green to black when heated due to the decomposition of the compound. The green color is due to the presence of copper ions, which decompose into copper oxide when heated, resulting in the color change to black.
About the same. Wax dyes have very small effects of candle burning rates.

You can demonstrate this by placing a green plant under a glass container with a light source and snuffing out a burning candle inside the container. As the plant photosynthesizes in the light, it releases oxygen, allowing the candle to be relit. This shows that green plants release oxygen during photosynthesis when exposed to light.

The green advent candle represents the shepherds. Usually, two types of advent wreaths are done. One is with the three purple candles and one pink candle with a white candle in the center. The other one has one gold, white, green, and red or purple candle. The gold represents prophecy. The white represents angles. The green represents shepherds and the red represents the wise men. There's a white candle in the center which represents Jesus.
The burn time of a candle typically depends on its size, wick thickness, and wax type rather than its color. Both red and green candles of the same specifications should burn for a similar duration.
